BrewDog Clockwork Tangerine

BrewDog Clockwork Tangerine is a session IPA infused with tagerine, available from Brewhaus. I got mine in an amazing mixed pack having Punk IPA, Hazy Jane and Clockwork Tangerine.

Brewdog Clockwork Tangerine

Beer review from Beeradvocate

For an ale of such light body, it sure does pack a citrus punch. Copious amounts of tangerines crammed into a Session-strength IPA keeps BrewDog’s ale from being anything other than mild. Golden, slightly hazy and with a splash of orange, Clockwork Tangerine releases a frothy, slightly ivory-stained foam. As the citrus rolls off of the rim so does a bevy of complementing citrus, light tropical fruit and a dash of fine herb. Light caramelization makes a transition to taste in a pulpy, juicy and nectar-like way. As the hops bounce off of the middle palate, the ample carbonation highlights the suggestions of grapefruit, orange peel and pineapple that’s held within. As the tangerine additions build upon the hops, they eventually take over the taste with the radiant acidity and branch-ripened sweetness of the citrus fruit. A transition toward bitterness brings the taste of tea, spruce, peppery herb and impressions of hemp. Medium light in body, the beer’s strong carbonated value continues to keep the session crisp, dry and refreshing with a medium length bitterness and those verbena and orange blossom perfumes in its wake.
