Donnafugata La Fuga 2017

In the third instalment of our four-part blog series on Donnafugata wines, we present La Fuga, one of the top 7% of all wines in the world (Vivino). This wine is produced on the clayey soil of the Contessa Entellina Estate in the province of Palermo, between 200 and 600 meters above sea level.

The grapes are harvested in mid-August and are immediately pressed. They are then let to ferment at 14-16 ° C controlled temperature. The finalized wine is stored in steel tanks on its lees before being bottled and may then be stored for at least another 3 months.
