Donnafugata Sherazade 2018
Today we present a wine from one of our favourite wineries, the Donnafugata Sherazade 2018 vintage. We had the pleasure to find this red wine at S. Rausi Trading and it did not disappoint both in terms of quality and value. Thanks to the extensive fruity bouquet, this wine is quite on the sweet side, considering its a Nero d’Avola. Truly another great wine from Donnafugata recommended for a good dinner or to be enjoyed on its own.

Sherazade 2019 has a brilliant ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose offers a pleasantly fruity bouquet with fragrant notes of red plum and cherry, combined with light spicy and balsamic scents. The palate is fleshy and perfectly reflects the bouquet revealing an extraordinary freshness. The fine–grained tannins, complete this fragrant and pleasant wine.GRAPE

A nero d’avola with a light, fresh edge, revealing sour cherries and raspberry cheesecake with a touch of citrus. Very taut and edgy, almost tart, on the palate, but there’s undeniable transparency and depth. Medium-bodied and medium-chewy. Drink now.
